A gender advisor appointed in Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU)

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has announced the appointment of Oksana Hryhoriyeva as a gender advisor, according to the Strana news outlet .
Hryhoriyeva’s responsibilities include "ensuring coordination between various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the Ministry of Defense, as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive gender strategy."
Previously, Oksana Hryhoriyeva held a similar position in the command of the Ground Forces.
The role of a gender advisor involves overseeing compliance with gender equality principles, developing relevant recommendations, and implementing policies aimed at integrating gender considerations into the military sphere.
