In Kytaihorod, three communities of Kamyanske Eparchy reaffirm loyalty to UOC
Parish assemblies were held in the local religious communities.
The Dormition, St. Nicholas, and St. Barbara parishes of the UOC in the village of Kytaihorod, Dnipropetrovsk region, held parish assemblies at which the faithful unanimously decided that their religious communities would continue to remain within the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The Kamyanske Eparchy reported this on its Telegram channel on 18 February.
During the assembly, parishioners, clergy, and community representatives expressed their support for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, confirming their loyalty and recognition of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine as their spiritual leader.
“The participants of the assembly reaffirmed their firm position in supporting the canonical Church, expressing their resolve to preserve unity and faithfulness in these difficult times for Ukrainian Orthodoxy,” the statement said.
Those gathered also emphasized that their prayers and support are directed toward strengthening unity in Ukraine and praying for peace and the well-being of the entire country.
“This decision has once again confirmed that local religious communities stand faithfully on the side of the Ukrainian Orthodox tradition and, together with all of Ukraine, strive for peace and stability in the face of today’s challenges,” the eparchy’s press service added.
As the UOJ previously reported, the UOC announced the number of faithful who attended the parish assembly at the cathedral in Chernivtsi.
