A professor from the University of Athens explained why no Orthodox Church had condemned Patriarch Kirill as heretic so far.

Greek theologian and University of Athens professor Nikos Kouremenos explained why the Local Orthodox Churches have not accused Patriarch Kirill of heresy.

In an interview with Euronews, Nikos Kouremenos stated that "no Orthodox church has condemned Kirill as a heretic" for supporting the supporting the "Russian World" ideology.

According to him, one of the reasons for this is that "the problem of nationalism is rooted in almost all the Orthodox Churches."

“If we try to accuse Kirill as a heretic because he's a nationalist, we don't know where we can stop because also in other churches, in Romania, in Georgia, in Serbia, we can find some traces of nationalism,” the University of Athens professor underscored.

Previously, the UOJ wrote about why the ideology of the "Russian World" is incompatible with the teachings of Christ.
