Arakhamia wrote in parliamentary chats that the adoption of the bill to ban the UOC is the president’s task.
Before voting on bill 8371 to ban the UOC, David Arakhamia wrote to MPs asking them to vote in favor of prohibition of the Church, says Ukrayinska Pravda, citing a source in the Servant of the People.
The publication indicates that he “motivated the deputies just before the voting and reminded them in chats that this was Zelensky’s demand.”
At the same time, Arakhamia himself is called a “small supporter” of the law, “who even on voting day didn't mind the option of postponing the consideration.”
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Verkhovna Rada voted to ban the UOC.
