Polish Church's refusal to participate in Jordan Council not confirmed

The Polish Orthodox Church has denied reports from several media that Metropolitan Savva refused to participate in the Council in Jordan.
On January 27, 2020, the assistant to Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland told RIA Novosti that the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church did not reject an invitation to attend the Council of Primates of Orthodox Churches in Jordan to discuss problems of Orthodox unity.
"It is not true. He didn’t refuse. If there is an official date, I think that he will participate,” said Father George.
Earlier media reported that Metropolitan Savva has rejected the invitation of Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem to visit the Council.
