In Lubny, TCC employees abducted a UOC priest

The TCC detained the rector of two UOC communities in the Poltava region.

In the city of Lubny in the Poltava region, TCC employees detained the rector of the Dormition churches in the villages of Shershnivka and Oleksandrivka of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), Father Anatoliy Bezrodny. This was reported in the Telegram channel "Pershyi Kozatskyi" citing parishioners of the affected priest.

According to available information, the 50-year-old clergyman was unlawfully detained on the evening of August 21 while walking along the street. Father Anatoliy is currently in the settlement of Chernukhy, but is already planned to be transferred to the city of Pryatyn by evening.

Parishioners note that the priest cared for his elderly parents, and emphasize that two parishes have now been left without the spiritual guidance of their rector.

As the UOJ reported, earlier the TCC commented on the mobilization of the rector of a UOC church in Volhynia.
