UOC faithful provided school supplies for children, organized charity events, and distributed aid to hundreds of displaced families.

On August 23, 2026, eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continued providing assistance to children, displaced people, and others in need, according to the Pershyi Kozatskyi Telegram channel.

In the Rivne Eparchy, parishioners of St. John the Theologian Church in Demydivka purchased clothing, school supplies, and other items children need for the new school year as part of the “Give an Orphan a School” campaign. In the Poltava Eparchy, priests and volunteers visited children at a social rehabilitation center and brought them gifts.

In Kyiv, the UOC Social Department organized a charity lunch for 100 people and a trip to an entertainment center for 30 children from the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation. In addition, 100 displaced families received humanitarian aid on August 15, and another 100 families received assistance on August 22.

Since the beginning of 2026, the UOC Social Department has distributed 2,600 humanitarian aid packages to people in need. In the Bukovyna Eparchy, the faithful also collected and delivered aid to military personnel.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC Social Department in Kyiv had organized a celebration for children from a rehabilitation center.
