Ukraine's Foreign Minister commented on reports about the transfer of part of the relics of the holy prince Dmitry Donskoy to Russian military personnel.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented on reports about the discovery of the remains of the holy right-believing prince Dmitry Donskoy and the possible transfer of part of his relics to Russian servicemen. He wrote about this on social network X, and later elaborated in comments to journalists.

The statement was prompted by reports about the discovery of a white-stone sarcophagus containing nearly complete remains of Prince Dmitry Donskoy near the southern wall of the Archangel Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. It is reported that Vladimir Putin personally examined the find, after which a decision was approved to transfer part of the relics to Russian servicemen at the front.

According to Sybiha, this indicates that "Putin has already begun resorting to some astonishing, almost comical things." "They dug up the skeleton or remains of Dmitry Donskoy — one of their heroes — to bring him to the front," he stated.

Continuing his reasoning, Sybiha suggested that the Russian president should swap places "with this skeleton." "Then we would truly accelerate the end of this war," Sybiha concluded.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC previously commented on Russia's plans to send the relics of Dmitry Donskoy to the front.
