Vinnytsia Eparchy holds Zion Orthodox youth festival
Communities from seven Vinnytsia churches took part in a charity fair and workshops held as part of the festival.
The Zion Orthodox youth festival has been held in the Vinnytsia Eparchy, bringing together young believers from across the eparchy for charitable work and spiritual fellowship.
The festival, held on the grounds of the Church of St. Luke of Crimea, was opened by Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar. The hierarch blessed the participants and expressed hope that such gatherings would help strengthen parish life and promote works of Christian mercy.
The event was organized by Protodeacon Sergiy, head of the eparchy’s youth department, and Matushka Yevgenia Oleinichenko.
During the first part of the festival, eparchial communities held a charity fair and a series of workshops. Parishioners from the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and the city’s St. George, St. Nicholas, St. John the Theologian, Presentation of the Lord, and Exaltation of the Cross churches took part in the fair. All proceeds will be donated to support wounded Ukrainian defenders.
The second part featured team games, interactive activities, and a quiz competition for young participants. They received gifts from Ukrainian Orthodox brands and listened to a performance by a male choir. The gathering concluded with a shared meal and informal fellowship.
As the UOJ previously reported, Orthodox young people from different regions of Ukraine gathered for a meeting in Kyiv.
