In the Rivne region, police officers brought a cleric of the UOC to the military enlistment office, where he was declared fit for service after a leg operation.

In the town of Hosha, Rivne region, employees of the TCC detained the cleric of the Pokrovsky women's monastery of the UOC, Archpriest Vadym Mulyar. This was reported by the Rivne Diocese of the UOC.

According to the diocese, on June 23, 2026, police officers stopped the clergyman near his home under the pretext of checking documents. He was then taken to the Territorial Center of Recruitment (TCC) and subsequently sent to Rivne to undergo a military medical commission.

Despite the fact that the priest had recently undergone surgery on his leg and has corresponding medical indications, on June 24 the commission declared him fit for military service.

The diocese stated that the clergyman continues to be held at the TCC. They expressed concern over his state of health and called on the faithful to pray for the cleric.

As the UOJ reported, the TCC in Lutsk previously stated that the detained UOC deacon with many children had himself wished to serve.
