The whereabouts of the archpriest of the UOC detained by the TCC are currently unknown.

On June 15, 2026, in the Tulchyn Diocese, TCC officers abducted UOC cleric Archpriest Alexander Grodzenko. On social media, an appeal was circulated to all concerned Christians.

“We ask for holy prayers,” write believers concerned about the priest’s fate. At present, there is no information about the legal grounds for the forcible detention or the priest’s exact whereabouts.

As the UOJ reported, the TCC stated that the detained UOC deacon, a father of many children, had himself wanted to serve.
