Hundreds of believers honored the miraculous image of the Mother of God at Koretsky Monastery

On June 4, 2026, when the Church honors the Korets icon of the Mother of God "Surety of Sinners," celebrations took place at the Trinity Korets Stavropegial Women's Monastery. The festive Divine Liturgy at the monastery was celebrated by the Administrator of the UOC, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary. This was reported by Metropolitan Anthony on his Facebook page.

The hierarch was concelebrated by Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishops Alexander of Gorodnytsia, Damian of Fastiv, and Ambrose of Zguriv. Together with the archpastors, the monastery clergy, guests in holy orders, as well as the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Parthenia with the sisters and abbesses of other women's monasteries prayed during the service. Numerous parishioners and guests from all over Ukraine came to Korets to venerate the miraculous icon.

After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Metropolitan Anthony addressed the pilgrims with a sermon, emphasizing the importance of trusting in the help of the Most Holy Theotokos during difficult times. During the service, prayers were also offered for the establishment of peace in Ukraine. At the conclusion of the feast, His Grace Anthony congratulated the hierarchs, Mother Abbess, and all present on the feast day of the Korets shrine.

As reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists, at Belev Monastery they venerated the icon of the Mother of God "Seeking of the Lost."
