The divine service on the Day of the Holy Spirit united pilgrims from different regions of Ukraine in the skete of Pochaev Lavra.

On June 1, 2026, on the Day of the Holy Spirit, celebrations took place at the Holy Spirit Skete of Pochaev Lavra on the occasion of the patronal feast, which gathered about 4,000 believers. This is reported by a correspondent of the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

The festive divine services were led by hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Metropolitan Sergius of Ternopil and Kremenets and Metropolitan Vladimir of Pochaev – concelebrating with numerous clergy. Despite the difficult times, pilgrims from various regions of Ukraine came to the skete to offer prayers together and honor the feast of the Holy Spirit.

During the Divine Liturgy, special petitions were offered for peace in Ukraine, the cessation of war, the strengthening of the people, and the preservation of the Church. Many believers partook of the Sacraments of Confession and Communion. After the service, the clergy and pilgrims performed a procession of the cross.

The Holy Spirit Skete, located near Pochaev Lavra, is one of the well-known spiritual centers of Western Ukraine and annually gathers many pilgrims for its patronal feast. This year, about four thousand believers participated in the celebrations.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, thousands of believers gathered at Pochaev Lavra for the feast of Venerable Amphilochius.
