Participants from Scandinavian countries gathered in the Norwegian capital for prayer, lectures, and fellowship with clergy.

The second regional meeting of Ukrainian Orthodox youth living in Scandinavian countries was held in Oslo from May 14 to 17. The organizers prepared a rich program for the guests, combining common prayer, educational lectures, and active recreation, the UOC Information Center reports.

The young people took part in the Divine Liturgy and spoke with clergy. Lecturers from UOC theological schools delivered educational talks for the participants, while in their free time the young people sang Ukrainian folk songs.

The youth also took a sightseeing tour of the Norwegian capital, discovering the city’s distinctive architecture and the region’s rich history.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC summed up the results of the 18th All-Ukrainian Youth Conference. Regional youth meetings in Europe serve as a form of pastoral support for young believers living outside Ukraine and help them preserve their connection with church tradition and parish life.
