The incident occurred at night in the city center, near the La Rambla area. According to the source, a 19-year-old man of North African origin approached the woman and asked about her religion. After she answered that she was Christian, he began insulting and assaulting her.
Emergency services arrived at the scene, and the victim received medical assistance. The suspect was detained by police shortly after the attack and brought before judicial authorities on charges that include violation of fundamental rights on religious grounds and bodily harm.
