Additional transport to be laid on in Kyiv to cemeteries for Radonytsia
The city authorities will deploy extra routes to help residents reach cemeteries during the days of commemoration.
From April 19 to 22, 2026, special public transport routes will operate in Kyiv to allow the faithful to visit the city’s cemeteries during the days of prayerful remembrance for the departed. The announcement was made on the city’s official portal.
The authorities will run both regular services and specially arranged bus, trolleybus, tram, and shuttle routes. Separate lines have been organized for the cemeteries located beyond the city limits – the Northern and Southern cemeteries.
All transport on the memorial days will run from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., though the actual end of service will depend on passenger demand.
According to the approved schedule, on Sunday, April 19, transport will run to most of the city’s largest cemeteries, including Baikove, Lisove, Pivdenne, Pivnichne, and Sviatoshynske. On April 20, additional services will be directed to the Darnytsia, Pozniaky, Zhuliany, and Kurenivka burial grounds. On April 21, buses and trolleybuses will once again carry people to Baikove, Bykivnia, and the Military Cemetery.
The cycle of special transport services will conclude on April 22 with routes to the City Cemetery.
A full list of routes and a traffic map have been published on the city portal so that Kyiv residents can plan their visits in advance.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that police in Ukraine will tighten security measures during the memorial days.
