Bishop Kliment led the festal service and afterward awarded honors to the monastery’s legal defenders.

On April 17, 2026, the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Desiatynnyi (Tithes) Monastery held celebrations in honor of its principal shrine – the “Volodymyr-Destiatynna” icon of the Mother of God. The Divine Liturgy that day was led by the monastery’s abbot, Bishop Kliment of Borova.

Joining the hierarch in prayer were the monastery’s clergy and a large number of parishioners. During the service, special petitions were offered for the coming of peace. The faithful asked the Lord to grant shelter to those who had lost their homes and to protect the people from bloodshed and calamity.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the clergy served the rite of the lesser blessing of water. The faithful then made a solemn procession around the monastery grounds.

After his sermon, Bishop Kliment presented church orders to the lawyers and human rights advocates representing the monastery’s interests. The awards were given to Archpriest Nikita Chekman and Oleh Povaliayev.

An order was also awarded to Roman Shnurenko, who prepared a collection of spiritual works by M. A. Nadezhdinsky. In addition to his research work, he served as the editor and compiler of the volume.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that more than a thousand faithful in Bukovyna honored the Krasnoilsk icon of the Mother of God.
