Lyceum helping Orthodox school in Holosiiv has its license revoked
The Kyiv RMA has revoked the license of the private lyceum "Rancho School" following an inspection that began amid an investigation into the school at the Holosiiv Monastery.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration has revoked the license of the private Khotianivka Lyceum "Rancho School," which previously appeared in a journalistic investigation about a school at the UOC Monastery "Holosiyivska Pustyn." The corresponding order of KRMA was adopted on January 29, 2026, reports Slidstvo.Info.
The publication states that the decision was made based on the results of an inspection by the State Service for Education Quality of Ukraine from January 26, 2026, during which, as claimed, violations of licensing conditions for educational activities were identified.
By its order, the KRMA suspended the license issued on May 24, 2024, for conducting educational activities in the field of complete general secondary education – primary, basic, and specialized.
From the response of the State Service for Education Quality to journalists' inquiry, it also follows that in 2025 the lyceum received an educational subvention of 190.9 thousand hryvnias, while in 2026 funding was no longer provided to the institution.
As the UOJ wrote, the lyceum inspection was initiated after the publication of an "investigation" about the activities of the school at the Holosiiivska Pustyn Monastery in Kyiv. According to the journalists' version, the educational institution at the monastery allegedly functioned without its own license, and students' documents were processed through the "Rancho School" lyceum.
After the material was published, inspections and investigative actions were initiated both regarding the Orthodox school at the monastery and the lyceum, which, according to official reports, became the next object of inspection.
At the same time, earlier the representative of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Elizaveta Sachura reported that no language law violations were found at the Holosiiv Monastery school mentioned in the investigation.
