OCU delegation hands gifts to Patriarch Bartholomew from Epifaniy Dumenko
An OCU delegation visited the residence of the head of the Patriarchate of Constantinople at the Phanar to congratulate Patriarch Bartholomew on his birthday and deliver gifts.
On February 28, 2026, an OCU delegation visited Patriarch Bartholomew at his residence at the Phanar on the occasion of his birthday and handed him gifts from the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko.
According to the press service, the delegation was led by “Bishop” Savva of Donetsk and Sloviansk. He was joined at the meeting by “Archpriest” Vitaliy Danchak and OCU faithful.
The OCU representatives conveyed birthday greetings from Epifaniy Dumenko to Patriarch Bartholomew and expressed gratitude for his support of the OCU. During the visit, the delegation presented him with commemorative gifts from the OCU primate.
In addition, on March 1, 2026, members of the delegation took part in a service at the Patriarchal Church of St George at the Phanar. They prayed during the liturgy celebrated on the occasion of the Sunday of Orthodoxy.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Patriarch Bartholomew became an honorary professor of ecology in Greece.
