Metropolitan Eulogiy (Hutchenko) reported damage to the Presentation of the Lord Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Sumy as a result of new shelling that occurred on March 1, 2026, reports the information portal of the Sumy Eparchy.
According to the hierarch, shells exploded near the church, which resulted in the shock wave and shrapnel damaging the walls and fence of the sanctuary. Windows were blown out in the building, and part of the roof was damaged. Despite the danger, the rector and parishioners continue to gather for divine services. Prayer services for peace and the preservation of the city are held in the church.
