Children from UOC Khust Eparchy parish deliver aid to Ukrainian Armed Forces

Pupils of the Sunday school and members of the church children’s choir in Mizhhiria raised funds and directed them to support Ukrainian servicemen.

On February 28, 2026, pupils of the Sunday school and members of the children’s choir of the Holy Protection Church in the urban-type settlement of Mizhhiria, Khust Eparchy of the UOC, provided material assistance to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Khust Eparchy press service reports.

During the Nativity season, the funds were collected through Christmas caroling. In the праздничные days, the children together with adults glorified the Birth of Christ, visiting parishioners’ homes with carols. Thanks to heartfelt donations, they managed to raise a sum that was directed to support Ukraine’s defenders. The initiative was blessed by the rector of the church, Archpriest Petro Savka.

After receiving the aid, the AFU servicemen recorded a video message of gratitude to the Sunday school pupils, the children’s choir, and the entire parish community. According to the defenders, the children’s prayers and support give them strength and укрепляют their дух on the front line.

The community emphasized that children’s participation in works of mercy has become a good tradition of the parish. The faithful expressed hope that such initiatives will continue to unite people in prayer and assistance to those defending the country.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that communities of the UOC’s Khmelnytskyi Eparchy delivered aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
