The UOC Social Department delivered PlayStation 5 sets to seven pediatric hospitals in Kyiv, with a total value of 483,453 hryvnias.

On February 10, 2026, the Social Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church provided gaming consoles to seven children’s medical institutions in Kyiv to support young patients, the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs reports.

The charity initiative included seven PlayStation 5 sets worth a total of 483,453 UAH. The equipment is intended for children’s recreation rooms in the capital’s hospitals.

Each set includes a PS5 console, a television, VR headsets, controllers, a gaming steering wheel with pedals, and additional accessories. The department noted that the equipment will help children take their minds off medical procedures and cope more easily, psychologically, with their time in hospital.

The sets have already been installed at Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 2, the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, three departments of the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital, the National Specialized Children’s Hospital Okhmatdyt, and the Kyiv City Oncology Center.

During the handover, Deputy Head of the UOC Social Department Archpriest Kostiantyn Dvorovyi and Head of the Kyiv Eparchy’s Social Ministry and Charity Department Archpriest Andrii Dvorovyi also congratulated the children and medical staff, presenting them with sweets.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC Social Department delivered gifts to girls at a children’s home in Kyiv.
