OCU cleric: Russia destroys Ukrainian cities because they have UOC churches
OCU cleric Kostiantyn Kholodov said that if Ukrainian cities did not have UOC churches, they would not be hit by Russian strikes.
An OCU “priest” and chaplain, Kostiantyn Kholodov, claimed that Russia is waging warfare in Ukrainian towns and cities because UOC churches are present there. He published a photo of devastated Chasiv Yar, with the UOC’s Borys and Hlib Church shown in the center.
“In the middle of the city you see a church. Services used to be held there, people came there, got married, baptized their children – life was vibrant. And I am convinced that if not for one nuance, everything would still be fine. The city would be intact, people would be there, and the church would be functioning. And that nuance is its affiliation with the Moscow Patriarchate. It is precisely because of its presence and existence that this catastrophe is happening,” Kholodov wrote.
According to him, wherever there are UOC churches, “death and destruction will обязательно come there – it is the law.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to “Metropolitan” Mykhailo Zinkevych, Volyn is an “occupied territory” because there are UOC churches there.
