UOC church catches fire in Bohuslav, Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy
A fire damaged the St. Nicholas church in the village of Bohuslav, Pavlohrad District, Dnipropetrovsk Region.
On the night of January 26, 2026, the St. Nicholas church of the Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy of the UOC in the village of Bohuslav, Pavlohrad District, caught fire. This was reported by the eparchial press service.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SESU) in Dnipropetrovsk Region, the fire started around midnight.
According to rescuers, the flames engulfed the roof and the interior of the church over an area of about 300 square meters. Twenty-four SESU personnel and seven units of equipment worked at the scene.
No one was killed or injured, but the building’s wooden structures were significantly damaged.
The parish rector, Archpriest Serhiy Echkenko, reported that fundraising has begun to restore the church.
As the UOJ reported, two days earlier, on the night of January 23–24, a UOC church dedicated to Venerable Seraphim of Sarov burned down in Zarichne, Dnipropetrovsk Region.
