Pashinyan calls to gather for "procession" in support of "church reforms"
Before Christmas, the Prime Minister of Armenia addressed the citizens with a call to join the march in support of the reforms of the Armenian Church.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan called for a Christmas "procession" in support of "church reforms", reports Armenia Today.
In a video message, Pashinyan noted that the main purpose of the procession is to celebrate the Nativity of Jesus Christ, "the second purpose is to affirm our commitment to the sacred tradition of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the third is to express support for its reform." According to the politician, after the procession, a "very short rally" will take place.
The Prime Minister also announced that he would attend the Christmas service at the Cathedral of Saint George the Illuminator.
The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Nativity of Christ on January 6.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Armenian authorities canceled the free transfer of land to the Armenian Church.
