Cherkasy Eparchy reports improvement in Metropolitan Theodosiy’s condition
The UOC hierarch’s health has been improving over the past week.
On December 17, 2025, the Cherkasy Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reported that the health condition of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, who has been under medical supervision for an extended period, has shown improvement.
According to the eparchy’s press service, the hierarch is recovering.
“By the mercy of God and through the efforts of doctors, over the past week Metropolitan Theodosiy’s health has been gradually improving, and the hierarch is on the mend,” the statement said.
The Cherkasy Eparchy thanked the clergy and faithful for their prayerful support and asked them to continue praying for the hierarch.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the metropolitan is undergoing a course of intensive therapy and remains under round-the-clock medical supervision.
