The Council of Old Believers in Braila decided to restore Eucharistic communion with Ukrainian Old Believers.

The Council of Old Believers in the city of Braila (Romania) decided to restore prayerful communion with the Ancient Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Old Believer Church of Romania.

The Council noted that this decision is based on a written request from the Ukrainian side and is aimed at strengthening the spiritual unity of Old Believer communities.

In addition, the participants of the meeting adopted a resolution to consider meetings with representatives of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church (RPsC), headed by Metropolitan Korniliy (Titov), as "inappropriate" in the context of their ongoing interaction with non-canonical clergy.

As reported by the UOJ, on November 2, 2022, the Ancient Orthodox Church of Ukraine (AOCU) was registered in Ukraine.
