Court hearing on UOC Kyiv Metropolis ban to take place on October 30
Believers are asked to offer prayers for the Church leadership and the Church's lawyers.
On October 30, 2025, a session will be held at the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal in Kyiv regarding the lawsuit by the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS) on the cessation of activities of the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC, reports UOC lawyer Archpriest Nikita Chekman on his Telegram channel.
The court hearing will begin at 10:00 at the address: 8 Kniaziv Ostrozkykh Street, Building 30, Kyiv.
"This is another stage of trials for our Church. We ask all faithful children of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to offer prayers for His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, for the episcopate, clergy, lawyers, and all laity, that the Lord may strengthen us in faith, grant wisdom and courage to stand in the truth of Christ," the message says.
As reported by the UOJ, the previous session was postponed due to the judge's illness.
