UOC opens a School of Orthodoxy in Chernivtsi
A project has been launched for Orthodox Christians who wish to deepen their understanding of the faith and participate consciously in Church life.
On October 21, 2025, a School of Orthodoxy opened in Chernivtsi under the auspices of the Chernivtsi Theological Institute of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, according to the Facebook page "Faithful of the Chernivtsi–Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC."
According to the organizers, the project is designed for Orthodox Christians who seek to study their faith more deeply and take a more mindful part in Church life. Lectures at the School of Evangelical Knowledge and Piety will be delivered by faculty members of the Chernivtsi Orthodox Theological Institute.
As noted in the announcement, the classes will take place in the format of weekly meetings with parishioners. Participants will study Holy Scripture, Orthodox doctrine, and the fundamentals of divine worship, as well as become acquainted with Church history and sacred art.
The initiative aims to promote spiritual enlightenment and strengthen the unity of Orthodox believers in Bukovyna. The bishop and clergy of the eparchy emphasize that such projects help preserve Church tradition, cultivate a responsible attitude toward faith, and foster the growth of a new generation of conscientious parishioners.
The organizers invite everyone interested to join the program in order to study together the foundations of the Orthodox worldview and deepen their spiritual life within the Church.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Chernivtsi Eparchy had delivered 27 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbas.
