At the Forum n Pragiue, Dumenko claimed that Ukraine enjoys “unprecedented religious freedom.”

On October 14, 2025, during his address at the Forum 2000, head of the OCU Epifaniy (Serhii Dumenko) accused several religious denominations of supporting the war in Ukraine.

“The ‘Russian World’ ideology uses religious rhetoric, employing the institution of the Moscow Patriarchate and other religious centers in Russia – Muslim, Protestant, and Jewish – to justify its aggressive neo-imperial policy,” Dumenko declared.

At the same time, he assured the audience that “Ukraine has genuine religious freedom” and that “our country guarantees freedom of religion even in wartime.”

“This is a freedom that does not exist in Russia – and especially not in the territories it temporarily occupies,” he said.

As a reminder, Dumenko misled the heads of Scandinavian denominations by claiming that the Venice Commission had approved the law banning the UOC.
