The relics of Saint Gregory Palamas, specially brought from Thessaloniki, were presented for veneration alongside those of Saint Parascheva.

On October 14, 2025, a solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Romanian city of Iași in honor of Saint Parascheva, reports the official website of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Tens of thousands of pilgrims from various regions of Romania and abroad gathered in prayer to honor the heavenly patroness of Iași.

The service was held at an open-air altar installed on Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard. The Liturgy was concelebrated by a group of hierarchs from Romania and other Local Orthodox Churches, including Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki, Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, and Metropolitan Anastasios of Korçë. According to organizers, more than 30,000 faithful attended.

The Sanctus Choir of the Iași Cathedral provided the liturgical responses. The faithful prayed for peace, health, and blessings for their families and also took part in a procession of the cross.

This year, the relics of Saint Gregory Palamas were brought from Thessaloniki to be venerated together with those of Saint Parascheva, becoming the main spiritual focus of the celebration and drawing an even greater number of pilgrims.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that thousands of believers in Romania had come to venerate the relics of Saint Parascheva.
