Epifaniy Dumenko met with Czech President Petr Pavel during the international Forum 2000 conference.
On October 13, 2025, the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, met in Prague with Czech President Petr Pavel at the Forum 2000 conference, Dumenko reported on Facebook.
Dumenko told President Pavel: “We want to have one Ukrainian homeland – strong, democratic, European – and one autocephalous Orthodox Church.”
After their conversation, Dumenko presented gifts to President Pavel.
President Petr Pavel, who spoke at the Forum 2000 conference about the threat Russia poses to European freedom and democracy, praised the courage of the Ukrainian people and their spiritual leaders. “It is important not to lose hope and to continue defending freedom and truth,” the president declared.
The Forum 2000 conference, founded by Václav Havel, is dedicated in 2025 to the themes of Ukraine, technology, and strengthening democratic ties “in a time when democracy faces unprecedented internal contradictions, rising authoritarianism, the spread of disinformation, and the rapid pace of technological change.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the OCU had intruded into the territory of the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
