Authorities introduce possibility of divorce through "Diia"

In 2026, dissolving a marriage will be possible "quickly and without unnecessary bureaucracy" using the "Diia" application. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, on October 8, 2025, reports UNN.
"It will be possible to get a divorce quickly and online. The service will appear in Diia in 2026 and will be available to spouses who do not have minor children. These changes were adopted today by the Cabinet of Ministers," said Svyrydenko.
According to her, the procedure previously required several visits to the civil registry office and a lot of paperwork. Now, the Prime Minister claims, this process will become simpler – without queues and unnecessary trips.
"After submitting the application, Diia will automatically check the information in the registries, and the marriage will be dissolved in a month. During this time, the application can be withdrawn. You will also receive the divorce certificate in the application," stated Yulia Svyrydenko.
The registration of the dissolution of marriage will be paid, as is the standard registration in the registry office.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier in Ukraine, it was allowed to conclude marriage through "Diia".
