UOC Primate leads celebration of Synaxis of Venerable Fathers of Kyiv Caves

During the liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, the deliverance of the people from enemies, and God's mercy for those who suffer.
On September 10, 2025, on the day of the celebration of the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kyiv Far Caves, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the press service of the UOC.
The festive service took place at the Church of the St Agapitus of the Caves.
The UOC Primate was concelebrated by the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Antony of Boryspil and Brovary, the head of the Information and Education Department, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, Metropolitan Serhiy of Ladyzhyn, Archbishops Dionysiy, Ambrose, Spyridon, Lavr, Mark, Cyril, as well as Bishop Arkadiy of Hostomel and the monastery clergy.
After the reading of the Holy Gospel, His Beatitude addressed the faithful with a sermon.
During the liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, the deliverance of the people from enemies, God's mercy for the suffering and homeless, the courage of soldiers, the release of captives, and the healing of the sick.
At the conclusion of the service, the Primate, together with the clergy, offered a prayer to the Venerable Fathers of Kyiv Far Caves and then congratulated the faithful on the feast, wishing God's peace to the Ukrainian people.
