The U.S. President explained his motivation to stop the war as a desire to save thousands of lives.

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a comment to the program Fox and Friends on Fox News, explained his efforts to end the war in Ukraine by saying that he wants “to get to heaven.”

“If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed – I think that’s a pretty,” Trump said, referring to the war of Russia against Ukraine. “I want to try and get to heaven if possible. I'm hearing I'm not doing well. I hear I'm really at the bottom of the Totem Pole. But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons," the President clarified that he was speaking about achieving peace and saving people.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, answering a question at a briefing about whether Trump was serious about heaven, remarked: “I think you're pretty secure in making it to heaven. [...] But before the president cashes in at the pearly gates, he's got a war to end. And that is his goal – to end the deaths.”

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Vance, Trump’s peace efforts are the fulfillment of Christ’s greatest commandment.
