Altar consecrated in Playuts church of Khust Eparchy, UOC
Archbishop Simeon called on the faithful for unceasing prayer, strengthening in faith, and faithfulness to Christian values.
On August 2, 2025, on the day of the commemoration of the Holy Prophet Elijah, in the village of Playuts, Khust Eparchy of the UOC, a solemn consecration of the altar and festive Divine Liturgy took place.
With the blessing of His Eminence Mark, Metropolitan of Khust and Vynohradiv, the service was led by His Eminence Simeon, Archbishop of Uhol, Vicar of the Khust Eparchy.
During the Liturgy, sincere prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, the unity of the Church, and the well-being of the Ukrainian people. The faithful, together with the clergy, prayed for God's blessing, love, and harmony in our much-suffering Homeland.
At the conclusion of the service, Bishop Simeon addressed those gathered with spiritual guidance and heartfelt greetings. The archpastor called everyone to unceasing prayer, strengthening in faith, and faithfulness to Christian values.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a new UOC church will be built in Khust.
