In Kharkiv region, Russian drone kills UOC archimandrite

The cleric was 68 years old.
On July 15, 2025, as a result of a strike by a Russian drone, Archimandrite Peter (Kryvytsky), a monk of the “Quick to Hear” Monastery in the village of Babai in the Kharkiv Eparchy, was killed, the eparchy’s website reports.
The priest was 68 years old. For most of his life, he served as a protopriest, ministering at the Ascension Church in Zolochiv, the Archangel Michael Church in the village of Murafa, the St. Nicholas Church in Lyubotyn, and the St. Nicholas and Transfiguration churches in Kharkiv.
In 2024, Fr. Peter took monastic vows.
The ruling hierarch, clergy, and faithful of the Kharkiv Eparchy deeply mourn the passing of Archimandrite Peter and offer prayers to the Lord for the repose of his soul.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Myropillia, the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the UOC was destroyed as a result of shelling.
