In Rome, the international exhibition showcased the consequences of the destruction of Orthodox churches in Odesa, Kamyshevakha, and the Sumy region.

On July 10–11, 2025, an international conference on the restoration of Ukraine takes place in Rome. As part of it, a photo exhibition dedicated to the devastating consequences of the war for cultural heritage sites was opened. Among the exhibits are photographs of destroyed temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy.

The exhibition features images of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa and St. Michael's Chucrh in the town of Kamyshevakha, Zaporizhzhia Eparchy.

The exhibition "Behind the Lens: Culture Under Attack" was organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute of Mass Information.

The cathedral in Odessa was damaged as a result of shelling on July 23, 2023. According to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its restoration is being carried out by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, which will continue its work to restore the cultural heritage of the city’s historic center.

The exhibition also features photographs of the destroyed St. Michael's Church in Kamyshevakha, which was destroyed by a missile strike on April 16, 2023, on Easter night.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Myropillia, St. Nicholas's Cathedral of the UOC was destroyed as a result of shelling.
