Patriarch Ilia of Georgia congratulates Metropolitan Onuphry on his Name Day

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia wished the Primate of the UOC good health, spiritual strength, and fortitude for his continued service to God and the people.
On June 25, 2025, the feast day of St. Onuphrius the Great, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Pitsunda and Tskhum-Abkhazia Ilia II sent a letter to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine. According to the Information and Education Department of the UOC, the Georgian Patriarch congratulated the Primate of the UOC on the day of his heavenly patron.
“Through the prayers of your heavenly intercessor, St. Onuphrius the Great, may the Lord grant you good health, spiritual strength, and steadfastness for your continued devoted service to God and His people. With love in Christ,” reads the letter from the Primate of the Georgian Church.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Primates of the Polish Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia also congratulated His Beatitude on his name day.
