Robert Amsterdam accuses Ukrainian govt of backing mobs that seize churches
The human rights defender has appealed to the international community, urging them to pay attention to the fact that state-backed mobs are depriving Christians of their freedom.
Against teh backdrop of events in Chernivtsi, international lawyer of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Robert Amsterdam stated that "The organised theft of churches by the Ukrainian government is religious cleansing". He wrote this on June 21, 2025, on the social network X.
He addressed the international community with the question: "Where is the outrage?"
