In vlg Olkha, Zhytomyr region, church of Intercession Monastery consecrated
Metropolitan Nikodim consecrated the Altar of the lower Сhurch of Sts. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves in the Cathedral of the Olkha Monastery.
On June 9, 2025, in the village of Olkha, Zhytomyr region, the consecration of the Altar of the lower Church of Sts. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves took place in the Trinity Cathedral of the Olkha Intercession Convent. This was reported on the website of the Zhytomyr and Novohrad-Volynskyi Eparchy.
The rite of consecration was led by Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhytomyr and Novohrad-Volynskyi, concelebrated by Archbishop Sergiy of Tulchyn and Bratslav and numerous clergy.
After the consecration, a Divine Liturgy was held, during which memorial prayers were offered for the departed founder and builder of the monastery, Schema-Archimandrite Amphilochius (Voloschenko), who passed away a year ago. Believers also honored the elder's memory at his grave.
At the conclusion of the service, Metropolitan Nikodim congratulated the abbess of the monastery, Igumenia Seraphima (Meleshchuk), the sisters, and all those gathered on the feast and the consecration of the new church on the monastery grounds.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in the village of Horbakiv, a new Holy Trinity Church of the UOC was consecrated in place of the seized one.
