Kyiv gays to hold LGBT event near the cathedral of OCU

Homosexuals reported that they would hold their event in the warm circle of like-minded individuals and allies.
The organization of Ukrainian homosexuals KyivPride reported that on June 7, on Trinity Memorial Saturday, they will gather on St. Michael's Square in Kyiv, near the walls of St. Michael's Cathedral of the OCU.
According to the organizers, they chose this location because it is a "public space that belongs to all citizens of Ukraine", as well as due to the proximity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, "a key state body that supports LGBT rights".
"We will gather in a warm circle of like-minded people and allies," representatives of the minorities reported. They added that allegedly hundreds of homosexuals serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and this LGBT event is also aimed at their protection.
Recall, after being elected head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko stated that "we need to work" on making Ukrainian society more positive towards LGBT, and that it is a "long journey".
