The Lavra’s press service urges the faithful to be vigilant.

In social networks, users are reportedly receiving invitations from supposed Sviatohirsk Lavra group administrators to participate in certain "educational lectures". The press service of the monastery warns that the Lavra is not associated with these activities.

"The Sviatohirsk Lavra does not hold educational lectures or online 'sermons'. If you receive messages stating that the Lavra's group administrators invite you to participate in such an event, we warn you: the Lavra is not associated with these messages, and you have been contacted by fraudsters," the official social media accounts of the monastery stated on May 5, 2025.

The press service urges the faithful to remain alert and advises those who have been added to an unfamiliar group by these "Lavra administrators" to remove themselves from it.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Orthodox Christians from Bukovyna brought food to the Sviatohirsk Lavra before Easter.
