The head of the OCU believes that Russian troops will leave Ukraine on their own.

In an interview with Apostrophe, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Serhiy Dumenko, explained how Ukraine will achieve victory over Russia.

He mentioned that “Trump promised to stop the war in a day, in a month, now it’s 100 days, and so on...,” but emphasized that “things aren’t that simple.”

Dumenko believes that the situation will unfold similarly to the scenario in Syria, where “it turned out that the leader was forced to leave the country.” Whether he meant that President Zelensky would be similarly forced to leave Ukraine, the OCU head did not clarify.

He noted that “we currently lack the strength to liberate the occupied territories,” but at the same time expressed confidence that the Russians would withdraw from Ukraine on their own.

“I am convinced that something will happen – a kind of ‘black swan’ event will occur in the Russian Federation, when they will no longer care about us, being forced to deal with their internal problems, and therefore they will leave our Ukrainian territory,” said Epifaniy Dumenko, outlining his vision of victory.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that an OCU “hierarch” urged Ukrainians not to put on a show at the recruitment offices, but to go to the front.
