Serbian Patriarch Porfirije arrives in Moscow

Upon his arrival, the Serbian Patriarch spoke by phone with the Patriarch of Moscow.
On April 21, 2025, a delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church led by Patriarch Porfirije arrived in Moscow, according to the official website of the Serbian Church.
Accompanying the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church were Archbishop of Novi Sad and Metropolitan of Bačka Irinej, Archimandrite Hariton, abbot of the Kovil Monastery, Archpriest Đorđe Stoisavljević, head of the Patriarch’s Cabinet, Protodeacon Radomir Vrućinić, rector of the Theological Seminary in Belgrade, and other members of the delegation.
At Sheremetyevo Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), and Momčilo Babić, Ambassador of Serbia to the Russian Federation. Also present were Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, rector of the Serbian Church’s metochion in Moscow; Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, advisor to Patriarch Kirill; Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, deputy head of the DECR; and other officials.
Upon his arrival, the Serbian Patriarch had a phone conversation with the Patriarch of Moscow.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Serbian Patriarch had visited the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
