The President said that he shares the same values as Ukrainian men and women.

On April 20, 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky released a video address set against the backdrop of Kyiv’s Saint Sophia Cathedral, in which he congratulated Ukrainians on the occasion of Easter.

In his message, Zelensky reminded viewers that Ukraine has been enduring full-scale war for 1,152 days. He spoke of “something invisible, yet very powerful within” that keeps him from giving up and “guides him toward the light so as not to lose his way.”

The President said he shares “the same values” as Ukrainian men and women, and reflected on his belief that God represents “will, endurance, compassion, and humanity.”

Zelensky underscored that this year, “Ukrainians of all Christian denominations are celebrating Easter on the same date: together.” He added that “we are inspired by the symbol of Easter and the story of Christ’s Resurrection.”

He expressed his conviction that “in difficult times, what proves decisive is not only the victory of arms, but above all the victory of spirit.”

“Our victory. The victory of our spirit. May all of this come to pass. May God help us in this. May there be peace. May there be Ukraine,” Zelensky concluded.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a personal chair was made for Zelensky in a Kyiv synagogue.
