Church of Nativity of the Theotokos destroyed by shelling in Chuhuiv

The church was nearly obliterated.
During the night of April 9–10, 2025, a hostile shelling destroyed the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Chuhuiv, according to the press service of the Izium Eparchy.
The building was not a traditional church structure but a residential house that had been converted into a church.
As a result of the shelling, the church was almost completely destroyed. A crater – likely from a bomb or artillery shell – was found just a few meters away.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a UOC church in Pokrovsk had also been completely destroyed by shelling.
