Epifaniy discusses "spiritual unity" in the region with Khmelnytsky RA head

An advisor to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also took part in the meeting.
The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Epifaniy Dumenko, held a meeting at his residence with the acting head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tiurin, as well as former regional head and current advisor to the head of the SBU, Serhiy Hamaliy. Also present at the meeting was the OCU “hierarch” of Khmelnytskyi, Pavlo Yurystyi, according to the OCU’s official website.
It is reported that “special attention during the conversation was given to the religious and interconfessional situation in the region.”
“To preserve our national identity and strengthen Ukraine, we need spiritual unity. Without a strong, united Church that unites the Ukrainian people in love for God and the Homeland, it is difficult to build a strong Ukraine,” Dumenko stated.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that while delivering a speech in the cathedral seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Khmelnytskyi, Dumenko declared that eventually, everyone would be part of the OCU – whether they want it or not.
