Faithful, clergy, and monastics pray for the preservation of the Orthodox faith, peace in Ukraine, and the prevention of violence.

In Chernivtsi, a round-the-clock prayer vigil continues at the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

The Telegram channel Orthobuk – Orthodox Community of the UOC reported that for the seventh consecutive day, Orthodox parishioners and clergy of the Bukovynian Eparchy of the UOC have been maintaining a continuous presence at the cathedral, holding uninterrupted prayers inside to protect it from an attempted takeover.

Believers, clergy, and monastics are praying for the preservation of the Orthodox faith, peace in Ukraine, and the prevention of violence. Despite pressure and threats, the faithful continue their prayerful stand, demonstrating their commitment to the canonical Church and its sacred sites.

Parishioners are calling on all concerned believers to strengthen their prayers and support the defenders of the cathedral.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Chernivtsi, signatures were being collected under false pretenses to "transfer" churches to the OCU.
