In Hlyboka, UOC believers invited to prayer on Feb 14 as OCU intent on raid

“Tomorrow, Hlyboka will choose between the Meeting of the Lord Jesus Christ and Roman Hryshchuk’s rally,” noted the Chernivtsi Eparchy.
On February 14, during the festive service on the eve of the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord, a group of unknown individuals will attempt to “transfer” the Protection of the Mother of God Church of the UOC in the Bukovynian town of Hlyboka to the OCU, according to the Chernivtsi Eparchy.
Information about the gathering, which will take place at 16:00 near the “Fighters for Ukraine’s Freedom” monument, was published on the Facebook page “Bukovynskyi Dzvin of the OCU.”
“After Roman Hryshchuk’s defeat in the town of Storozhynets, where several thousand parishioners voted against leaving the Orthodox Faith, he will now seek better fortune in the town of Hlyboka. That is why the rally is being held precisely during the festive service of Orthodox Christians, so that the small group of Roman Hryshchuk’s activists does not get lost against the background of UOC supporters,” commented the UOC Eparchy.
The Dean of the Hlyboka Deanery, Archpriest Ioann Horda, addressed the Bukovynian faithful.
“Dear faithful of the UOC in the town of Hlyboka, residents of the Hlyboka community, and all who wish to join, we invite you to gather for prayer for peace, our army, and the unity of our homeland Ukraine at the Protection of the Mother of God Church in Hlyboka on February 14 at 15:00!” he said.
As the UOJ previously reported, nearly 3,000 UOC believers in Storozhynets expressed their opposition to “transitioning” to the OCU.
